My name is Clint Camp, and I'm running to be your representative for Metro Council in District 7.

I'm proud to have grown up in Inglewood, where I was able to ride my bike to the library, go to school at Dan Mills and Inglewood Elementary, and help work in our family housemoving business. Like my great-grandfather when he sold his farm in Neely's Bend to be closer to town - I want my kids to experience those joys with my children and give them the best we can as a City.

About Me

I'm proud to be from Nashville, and more specifically, to have called Inglewood my home. I'm a 4th Generation Housemover - part of a family business that was started in 1908 by my great-grandfather right here in East Nashville.

Growing up, I was lucky enough to attend Dan Mills Elementary, Inglewood Elementary, Meigs Middle and Hume-Fogg before heading off to college to study engineering at Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville, TN.

After graduation, I came back to Nashville - a city I knew I already loved, and attended Vanderbilt University for a Master's degree while working full-time, getting married and studying for my professional license.

Locally, I've been a part of the Inglewood Neighborhood Association's Steering Committee since 2011, Discover Madison's Amqui Station Board of Directors, and volunteered with STEM events in schools, neighborhood cleanups, tree plantings and more. I've been a volunteer with Rebuilding Together Nashville since 2007, having served on their Board and as Chair of the organization.

Professionally, I volunteer with a group affiliated with TEMA called the TNSAVE Coalition, that works to partner professionals with local communities after a disaster event. I also am proud to have served as the President of our local Civil Engineering Society (ASCE Nashville) and with the state Society for Professional Engineers (NSPE-TN).

As a civil engineer in my day job, I design roads, parking lots, water lines and more. I appreciate the impact the built environment has on our lives, both socially, physically and economically.

I'm for an investment in ourselves - to support our schools, to grow our urban tree canopy, serve our public employees and improve our mobility. As our city grows, I look forward to being a leading voice in the conversation that helps improve our quality of life.
